statement.

My artwork acts as an evidence board of my own psyche, red string and all. I create a visual of my internal world to represent my experience with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder).

Working in a back and forth discussion of 2D paintings, prose, and short films, I create surreal and often unsettling scenes using a fragmented collection of familiar iconography from the world around me within a limited color palette.

These scenes are an exploration of mental interconnectedness via object symbolism and recurring characters, to tell a nonlinear narrative that tries to describe the line between reality and false reality.

The characters created through the work drive it, extending past the idea that they are just characters by becoming personal symbols that represent the dread and potential for violence my mind presents me with daily.
